When optimizing the touch and playing characteristics of an upright piano, several parameters can be adjusted to deliberately influence control and playing feel. This seminar addresses, among other things, the following aspects:
• Weighing hammers and calibrating them to a specific target weight.
• Adjusting the transmission ratio, for example by using OBW.
• Adjusting and calibrating key weight.
• For practical implementation, dedicated software has been developed, providing clear, step-by-step instructions for the working process.
